Shareena Farsana is a licensed bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (English and Arabic) with over 10 years of academic and professional experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology and a master’s degree in clinical psychology. She is licensed by both the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH), reflecting her strong professional recognition across the UAE.
Currently, she is working at AlKalma United for Health and Wellbeing, where she provides comprehensive, evidence-based interventions for both pediatric and adult populations. Her clinical expertise includes autism spectrum disorder, speech sound disorders, learning disabilities, apraxia, cerebral palsy, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Down syndrome, speech and language delays, fluency disorders, dysphagia, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and post-stroke rehabilitation.
In addition, Shareena is certified in Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) and has advanced knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT). This unique combination of speech-language pathology and psychology enables her to adopt a holistic, client-cantered approach, addressing not only communication needs but also emotional, cognitive, and behavioral aspects of therapy.
Previously, she worked with Health Premium Abu Dhabi, Royal Health Group Abu Dhabi, and Narayana Hrudyalaya Multispecialty Hospital Bangalore, where she gained extensive experience in speech therapy across diverse healthcare settings including hospitals, homecare, schools and teletherapy etc.
